Oracle/Payroll Business Analyst

FinXL Professional Services is a leading IT consultancy that partners with clients to bridge the gap between business needs and technology capabilities. Since 2003, we've been delivering high-value ICT services across government, finance, telecommunications, and enterprise sectors.

FinXL is seeking a Oracle HCM/Payroll Business Analyst to join our consulting team and be deployed with a leading insurance client on a key transformation engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Lead workshops to gather and document detailed functional requirements

  • Translate business needs into functional specifications and workbooks

  • Assist in configuring payroll elements to ensure accurate processing

  • Identify gaps between standard functionality and business processes

  • Develop test scenarios and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT)

  • Troubleshoot functional defects during testing cycles

  • Liaise between the Payroll business unit and the implementation partner

Key Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in Oracle Cloud HCM (Payroll module) implementation

  • Deep understanding of Australian Payroll legislation and agreements

  • Ability to write clear functional design documents and workbooks

  • Strong communication skills for non-technical stakeholder engagement

  • Basic understanding of Oracle Fast Formula is highly desirable

  • Experience bridging business requirements and technical solutions

  • Capability to manage complex award interpretation requirements
