FinXL is seeking a Senior Engineer to join our consulting team and be deployed with a leading banking client on a key transformation engagement.

Responsibilities

• Strong focus on design and building future-proof systems
• Develop and implement a digital transformation platform (greenfield)
• Contribute to architecture and solution design for new microservices
• Utilise AWS cloud services, containerisation, and cloud computing principles
• Drive automated testing and best practices (Playwright)
• Actively mentor and share knowledge with junior team members

Key Skills & Experience

• Senior level Full Stack capabilities (not front-end focused)
• Extensive experience in Java Core with Spring Boot
• Hands-on experience with React for front-end development
• Deep knowledge of AWS Cloud Computing
• Experience with databases like PostgreSQL
• Familiarity with observability tools like Grafana
• Working knowledge of Generative AI tooling like GitHub Copilot and MCP
• Excellent communication skills

About the Role

• 12 months contract with leading banking client
• Sydney CBD location (hybrid working with 3 days per week in the office)
