FinXL is seeking a Senior Engineer (Workload Automation & Orchestration) to join our consulting team and be deployed with a leading banking client on a core infrastructure modernisation engagement. FinXL is also able to take over existing visas and provide sponsorship for consultants.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical migration and provide ongoing operational management of the enterprise orchestration platform

• Develop, deploy, and maintain robust automation scripts using Python and PowerShell

• Automate deployments, scripted configurations, and task management

• Provision and harden the Windows Server hosts that run the orchestration components

• Build, manage, and operate staging and canary test environments to mirror production

• Securely manage service accounts, certificates, and credential storage and implement rotation

• Integrate logging, monitoring, and SIEM forwarding for all automated workflows

Key Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Senior Windows Engineer or Systems/Automation Engineer in a large enterprise

• Strong hands-on experience with an enterprise Workload Automation / Scheduling tool (e.g., Tidal, Control-M, ActiveBatch)

• Strong scripting and automation capabilities using both Python and PowerShell

• Demonstrable experience with ETL processes (understanding how they are built, scheduled, and managed)

• A strong background in automated deployments and scripted configurations

• Experience building and operating staging/canary test environments

• Experience securing and rotating credentials and managing certificate-based authentication
