Leading Banking client (consulting through FinXL)

FinXL is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join our consulting team and be deployed with a leading Banking client on a 12 months contract in Sydney.

Responsibilities

• Produce low-level compute and storage designs for servers and components required for migrations.
• Deploy, harden and operate Windows Server images (2016/2019/2022).
• Automate provisioning and configuration using PowerShell and VMware PowerCLI.
• Build staging and canary environments with snapshot and rollback capabilities.
• Secure service accounts, certificates and credential storage for authentication.
• Integrate logging, monitoring and SIEM forwarding for deployment workflows.
• Provide strong opinions on best practices for design, implementation and support.

Key Skills & Experience

• Expertise in Windows Server and VMware virtualisation.
• Strong Windows Server administration and automation experience.
• Strong VMware vSphere administration and automation experience.
• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for deployment and standardisation.
• Experience producing low-level compute and storage designs.
• Familiarity with backup and disaster recovery tools is a bonus.
• Knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and Group Policy is a bonus.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Engagement Details

• 12 months contract with Banking client
• Hybrid working with office in Sydney CBD and/or Baulkham Hills
