FinXL IT is seeking a SharePoint Architect to join our consulting team and be deployed with a leading Technology Solutions client on a key transformation engagement. This urgent role requires expertise in modern Microsoft 365 architecture, focusing specifically on migration, security, and licensing constraints, particularly for Frontline (F3) users.

Responsibilities

• Design the target SharePoint Online architecture (sites, security, libraries, metadata) to replace the existing file server structure efficiently.

• Plan, configure, and execute the migration of large file server data volumes to SharePoint and Teams sites, using tools like SPMT.

• Optimise the data structure and access patterns for users operating exclusively with Microsoft 365 F3 browser-only licenses.

• Configure foundational Microsoft Purview Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies within SharePoint and OneDrive post-migration.

• Implement data governance controls, including file naming conventions and basic retention policies.

• Produce comprehensive technical documentation, security configurations, and user-training plans for the new environment.

Requirements

• Proven expertise with SharePoint Online, Teams, and OneDrive architecture and governance.

• Proven track record in large-scale file server to SharePoint/OneDrive migration projects.

• Deep understanding of Microsoft 365 license tiers, particularly the technical limitations of F3 (Frontline) licenses.

• Practical experience implementing Microsoft Purview Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies in SharePoint and OneDrive.

• Expertise in Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), access control mechanisms, and the OneDrive sync client.

• Nice to Have: Experience implementing security controls against the Australian Government Essential Eight (E8) Maturity Model (Level 1 focus).

• Available to start ASAP to 2 weeks
