FinXL is seeking a highly skilled Senior COBOL Developer to lead the evolution of the core systems. You will provide specialist technical advice, lead complex ICT investigations, and drive high-quality code transformation projects. This role blends deep technical expertise in legacy systems with modern strategic planning and team mentorship.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Write, modify, and optimize COBOL programs integrated with IMS databases and transaction management.
• Develop strategies for long-term code maintenance and provide specialist advice on software development methodologies.
• Support data migration projects and application code transformation to ensure future-ready systems.
• Engage with business analysts and external partners to translate complex requirements into technical reality.
• Lead testing, release, and deployment activities while ensuring compliance with security and architectural standards.
• Lead and motivate team members, fostering a positive risk-management culture and sharing technical knowledge.

Technical Requirement:

• Core Tech: Extensive proficiency in COBOL, IMS DB/DC, JCL, and mainframe utilities.
• Design & Integration: Experience in complex software/systems design and automated integration frameworks.
