FinXL IT is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our consulting team and be deployed with a leading banking client on a key transformation engagement.

Responsibilities

• Provision and manage data platforms using AWS EKS, S3, OpenSearch, and RDS

• Design and optimise Spark data pipelines for large-scale structured data

• Integrate diverse data sources with platform and vendor product teams

• Conduct end-to-end data flow analysis across multiple complex systems

• Implement robust data governance, quality, and control frameworks

• Build enterprise-grade orchestration using Airflow, Argo, or Control-M

• Collaborate within Agile teams to deliver financial crime detection solutions

Key Skills & Experience

• Strong hands-on development in Spark using Scala, Java, or Python

• Experience building pipelines into and out of data platforms

• Proficiency with AWS technologies including EKS, S3, IAM, and RDS

• Expertise in SQL (Oracle/PostgreSQL) and working with Parquet/ORC formats

• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Bitbucket, Bamboo, and Argo

• Solid understanding of container frameworks including Docker and Kubernetes

• Background in financial crime, fraud, or compliance data projects
