Full Stack Engineer with a leading Banking client (consulting through FinXL)

FinXL is seeking a Full Stack Engineer (mid-level to senior) to join our consulting team and be deployed with a leading Banking client on a 12 months contract in Sydney.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain features across the full application lifecycle.
• Collaborate within a high-performing squad to deliver complex product requirements.
• Build and optimize scalable back-end services using Java.
• Design and implement responsive, user-centric front-end components using React.
• Manage and integrate data distribution patterns utilizing Kafka.
• Ensure efficient database management and query optimization within Postgres environments.
• Deploy and manage applications within containerized environments using Docker.

Key Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Full Stack Engineer within the Financial Services or Banking sector.
• Strong proficiency in Java for robust back-end development.
• Extensive experience in front-end development using React.
• Hands-on experience with Kafka for real-time data distribution.
• Solid understanding of Postgres databases and Docker containerisation.
• Demonstrated ability to work on complex product development projects.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Engagement Details

• 12 months contract with a Banking client.
• Hybrid working model with 3 days/ week in the office in Sydney CBD.
