Full Stack Engineer with a leading Banking client (consulting through FinXL)
FinXL Professional Services is a leading IT consultancy that partners with clients to bridge the gap between business needs and technology capabilities. Since 2003, we've been delivering high-value ICT services across government, finance, telecommunications, and enterprise sectors.
FinXL is seeking a Full Stack Engineer (mid-level to senior) to join our consulting team and be deployed with a leading Banking client on a 12 months contract in Sydney.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain features across the full application lifecycle.
- Collaborate within a high-performing squad to deliver complex product requirements.
- Build and optimize scalable back-end services using Java.
- Design and implement responsive, user-centric front-end components using React.
- Manage and integrate data distribution patterns utilizing Kafka.
- Ensure efficient database management and query optimization within Postgres environments.
- Deploy and manage applications within containerized environments using Docker.
Key Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Full Stack Engineer within the Financial Services or Banking sector.
- Strong proficiency in Java for robust back-end development.
- Extensive experience in front-end development using React.
- Hands-on experience with Kafka for real-time data distribution.
- Solid understanding of Postgres databases and Docker containerisation.
- Demonstrated ability to work on complex product development projects.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Engagement Details
- 12 months contract with a Banking client.
- Hybrid working model with 3 days/ week in the office in Sydney CBD.
