FinXL is seeking a Linux Engineer / Administrator to join our consulting team and be deployed with a leading Government client on a key transformation engagement.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain physical and virtual RHEL servers.

• Manage the IBM storage client environment on Linux systems.

• Configure and troubleshoot Spectrum Protect backups or Spectrum Scale file systems.

• Monitor performance and troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues.

• Manage system patching and security hardening in line with policies.

• Develop shell scripts and Ansible playbooks to automate routine tasks.

• Ensure high availability and reliable data management across the Linux fleet.

Key Skills & Experience

• Expert experience engineering Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL 7/8/9).

• Experience working within a large-scale enterprise environment.

• Strong skills in IBM Spectrum Protect or IBM Spectrum Scale.

• Proficiency in scripting with Bash or Python.

• Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible or Puppet.

• Knowledge of IBM storage hardware or SAN networking is desirable.

• Relevant certifications such as RHCE are advantageous.
