The Opportunity
FinXL IT is seeking a structured and outcome-focused Project Coordinator to join our team on-site with a large insurance organisation. Supporting a major program centered on Customer Complaints Systems and Data Cleansing, you will be the "engine room" of the delivery team, ensuring administrative and financial excellence across multiple workstreams.
This is a 12-month contract, based in in Sydney, Brisbane, or Melbourne with hybrid working arrangements.
Key Responsibilities
Financial & Resource Management: Manage MS Project resourcing (allocations/charging), track actuals vs. forecast, and produce detailed resource-level tracking dashboards.
PMO Support: Maintain project plans, schedules, and reporting artefacts using PPM/Altus.
Delivery Execution: Proactively support day-to-day execution across multiple streams, ensuring actions are followed up and dependencies are managed.
Governance & Reporting: Draft clear project commentary, prepare high-quality SteerCo packs, and manage RAID items.
Agile Tooling: Manage tickets, roadmaps, and follow-ups within Jira.
Stakeholder Coordination: Act as the central point of contact between business and technology teams to drive timely inputs and decisions.
Requirements
- Experienced Project Coordinator with a background in financial services. A background in the insurance industry is highly desired.
Tooling Expertise: Advanced proficiency in PPM/Altus, Jira, and MS Project (specifically for resource management).
Financial Acumen: Proven experience managing project budgets, tracking spend, and reporting on financial variances.
Communication: Exceptional written skills with the ability to translate technical updates into executive-level reporting.
Soft Skills: You must be a "self-starter" who takes ownership of tasks and can drive project cadence without close supervision.
