FinXL IT is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our consulting team and be deployed with a leading government client on a key transformation engagement.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain a robust governance and assurance framework for the project.

• Develop and manage the risk register, proactively identifying and mitigating potential issues.

• Rebaseline the project plan following the decision to migrate the data platform to the existing departmental cloud.

• Conduct a comprehensive cost review and define the remaining costs to complete the migration.

• Develop and implement a revised approach to testing the migrated platform and associated data pipelines.

• Define the technical skills required to deliver the migration successfully.

Key Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Senior Project Manager, capable of delivering complex IT/Data projects.

• Cloud Expertise: Experience with Azure-based systems and data management platforms.

• Hands-on familiarity with the data environment:

  • Python (PySpark, Delta, Pandas, Jupyter Notebooks)

  • Databricks (Lakehouses, Unity Catalog, SQL)

  • Azure (Data Lake, Function Apps, Key Vault)

  • React Apps (Dashboards)

• Strong skills in governance, assurance, risk management, and project re-baselining.

• Ability to define and implement a revised testing approach for migrated data platforms.

What's On Offer?

• 6 weeks contract, starting in mid December until end of January 2026
• Hybrid working arrangement (2-3 days in the office)
